Committees and Councils
Recruitment is open! We're looking for interested peers, youth and family members to serve on our committees. All committee members play an important role in guiding how we serve the community and how we provide care. You also help us come up with ways to improve services for our members.
We are currently accepting applications for the committees listed below. Not all committees need new members, but we'll keep applications on file for future openings.

Governance |
To assist the Board of Directors in directing strategic planning, process improvement, and decision making for the physical and behavioral health delivery system for all contracts held by Mercy Care. |
Member Advocacy | Acts as the voice of the member. This committee is established to advise, assist and give guidance to the service delivery system for the physical and behavioral health delivery system from a member’s perspective. |
ALTCS Member Advisory Council | To discuss topics that focus on the long-term care program and needs from a member and family’s perspective. |
Youth Leadership Council | Youth from various backgrounds are brought together to talk about care issues and outreach opportunities. |
Cultural & Linguistically Appropriate Services /Cultural Competency |
Ensures Culturally and Linguistically Appropriate Services standards are met and establishes outreach strategies to increase access of services for diverse populations. |
Foster & Adoptive Care | To provide guidance and expertise on the needs and communication methods to foster/adoptive/kinship families and group homes on the provision of behavioral health services to children involved with Child Welfare being served by Mercy Care. |

Download the application to apply for any of the committees listed above. Once you fill it out, save and email it to the Office of Individual and Family Affairs at oifateam@MercyCareAZ.org. You can also email oifateam@MercyCareAZ.org if you have any questions about the committees or the application.
There is a separate application for the Youth Leadership Council (YLC). Just fill out the information and email it to Kim Hemmersbach at hemmersbachk@mercycareaz.org. You can attach a separate sheet of paper if you need more space for your answers. If you need help or have questions about the YLC application, call Kim at 602-918-0226.
